IT Accessibility Office – Your Go-To for IT Accessibility Support!
The Right Tools and Hands-On Support, No Matter What Your Accessibility Needs Are!
The IT Accessibility Office’s (ITAO) Accessibility Centre of Excellence (ACE) is all about making sure you have everything you need to succeed in an inclusive work environment.
- ACE offers recommendations and provides adaptive technology solutions for both hardware and software in order to support you as an Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) employee with diverse abilities.
- Our Loan Bank offers a variety of peripherals and IT equipment that you can try out before making a purchase, ensuring that you find the right fit for your needs.
Throughout the year, the ACE Team hosts numerous fun and informative events open to all ESDC employees, including workshops, courses, and kiosks. So be sure to keep an eye on the iService Calendar to avoid missing out on these great opportunities to learn more about accessibility resources that can help support you in your role.
Tailored Equipment Recommendations Through ACE’s Loan Bank
If you’re in need of new equipment, our Loan Bank allows you to test out different tools and devices to help you figure out what works best for you. There’s no pressure to commit until you’re sure that it’s the right fit! No medical note or formal paperwork required! We provide accessibility support for everyone, making sure that there are zero barriers between you and the help you need.

Promoting IT Accessibility Is Our Specialty
ITAO’s Outreach Communications and Support (OCS) Team works to raise awareness about digital accessibility and make it a workplace priority. We organize events and share articles explaining how to make your work more accessible and why accessibility matters for all teams. Consider regularly visiting ITAO’s Upcoming Events page for new ways to learn more about why accessibility should be incorporated into all IT projects.
OCS Values Your Input!
